The Association received a call for help to pick up a dog that was in very poor condition. Several people were attacking and stoning him on the street. Two ADA-4patas volunteers immediately went to rescue him. The volunteers explain that it was very easy to rescue him, since Bonus, when he saw the cage open, immediately entered of his own free will.
Bonus was taken to a medical review, predicting that he most likely would not survive and that must be slept down. However, our volunteer and co-founder Silvia Salmón, as soon as she saw how his eyes reflected a great desire to live, despite all that pain and suffering, did not hesitate to request to save his life.

The medical opinion indicated that Bonus had been an abused dog and used for fighting. He had severe injuries to his entire body, malnutrition, and dehydration. He had only a few teeth left and had become a vulnerable animal as he was no longer trying to defend himself against any attack from other dogs.
After several months with medical treatments, Bonus recovered his health and left pain and abuse behind to become a sweet, loving, obedient and playful dog.
